So here's a thing, right. I love New Scientist, probably because I want be a great physicist, only I can calculate my way out of a paper bag, let alone imagine how to calculate the size and shape of the universe...I can do Big and Round, but somehow I don't see that getting me into The Royal Society. So I was taken this week to see that New Scientist has picked up the challenge of, over the next 3 editions, explaining the meaning and value in Second Life. Have you heard of Kate Modern? You probably will soon.Some headline stats:- 3m views in 3 weeks- Shown 5 days a week (each episode is only 2 mins long)- Zero production spend.What TV producer/ owner would'nt love to have that level of stats and potential to sell advertising around the programme. As you will have seen from Ed's previous post we are very interested at Trovus in the recent moves by companies such as IBM in the social networking space. In the last few months IBM have released Lotus Connections "Social Software for Business".We think this is a great move, however previous experience with IBM products leads us to believe that some may find it a challenge to get the product up and running.
