To all of you who came to Cisco today for the Trovus seminar on extracting value from the web 2.0, a huge thank you. To say we were delighted by the turn out is an understatement. Thank you as well to Cisco and in particular Mathew Pickersgill for sponsoring and hosting the event and to Shirlaws, our partner, for the supporting in bringing everything together. The BBC News web site is 10 years old today. Or is it? A closer reading of the report reveals that there were a few news web sites created for special events before the 'official' News website was launched (such as the death of Diana or the 1995 Budget). One truly amazing thing about living in the world of social computing is how easily people engaged in it are to meet. This in our world works two ways. First, faith in human kindness is reaffirmed most days as so many people are happy just to content you to someone or another.
